Bio

Wojtek Piotr Onak ( W P Onak ) – Interdisciplinary Creative Director, creative force shaped at Central St Martins College of Art and Design London (2010) & London College of Fashion (2007), where he specialised in emerging communication technologies, motion-based storytelling and the early architecture of digital culture. In 2009 he joined Nick Knight’s ShowStudio, contributing video editing for the final Alexander McQueen show and working on Knight’s groundbreaking Fashion Revolution exhibition at Somerset House. From the outset, his practice was rooted in immersion, experimentation and the merging of art, fashion and technology.

Across the following decade, Onak built a portfolio that positioned him among the most progressive creative directors and exhibition makers in Central Europe. He developed major campaign concepts, produced video works displayed on Times Square screens, and delivered one of the region’s earliest large-scale immersive exhibitions: Björk Digital, sold out before opening. He has collaborated with leading contemporary visionaries including David LaChapelle, Iris van Herpen and Daniel Lismore, shaping solo shows that expanded traditional museum formats. His projects include Gianni Versace Retrospective and Sneakers Unboxed with the London Design Museum, created in partnership with institutions such as Manchester International Festival, the Design Museum in London, The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh and The Richard Avedon Foundation.

Equally strong in strategy, Onak has held senior creative leadership roles in major retail groups. As Head of Creative and Marketing for Mohito (LPP) 2013-2015, he directed brand communication across 14 countries and 260 stores, overseeing multimillion campaigns, including collaborations with Anja Rubik on her collection. Creative Director for Kazar and Kazar Studio,  he shaped the creative direction for more than 60 stores across Europe—bridging art-driven thinking with commercial performance.

Onak’s work as a creative producer includes award-winning music videos created with Anja Rubik and Mary Komasa. His exhibitions have been repeatedly recognised by Vogue, Architectural Digest, Newsweek and Polityka as among the most impactful of their seasons. He has appeared as an expert on national television, received Gold and Silver Spinacz awards, and was nominated by VIVA Magazine for Poland’s cultural event of the year for his Andy Warhol exhibition. Wojtek has served as Artistic Curator at Wawel Royal Castle, one of Poland’s most visited cultural institutions with over 1.4 million annual visitors.

Earlier, in 2011, he was selected for the global Mercedes-Benz Avant/Garde Diaries initiative by Mercedes-Benz and Vice Magazine, and from 2015 to 2017 acted as Artistic Director for Grażyna Kulczyk—one of the world’s leading art collectors and founder of Muzeum Susch.

W P Onak stands as a rare profile: a curator, creative director and producer with the ability to deliver cultural impact and strategic value simultaneously. His work merges artistic vision with operational precision, consistently generating high visibility, strong attendance results and global-level recognition. A product in itself: high-impact, interdisciplinary, future-oriented.
